Ring Drop

Spin the board, not the tiles.

Ring Drop is a puzzle game for your phone. Coloured tiles fall inward toward a circle from every direction, and you can't steer them. Instead you spin the whole board to put the right stack underneath, so every swipe changes where the next tiles land.

Touch three of a colour together and they clear. The stacks drop inward, and a good drop can set off a chain that earns you a helper. The longer you last, the faster it gets, until the rings fill up.

How it plays

One finger, endless chains

1

Watch the edge

Tiles fall from the edge toward the centre. A sector's edge glows just before a tile appears there, pulsing faster as it arrives.

2

Spin the board

You can't move the tiles, so drag anywhere to spin the board and put the right stack underneath. Flick to send it coasting; it always settles lined up.

3

Match and chain

Three or more touching tiles of a colour clear, round a ring or up a stack. The tiles above drop inward, and every new group they make multiplies the points.

It gets harder the longer you last: tiles fall faster, more colours appear, more tiles fall at once, and special tiles join in. A sector's edge glows red when its stack is nearly full, and the game ends when a tile has to land in the outer ring.

Special tiles

Helpers to earn, and tiles to watch out for

Helpers

Long chains earn a helper, which drops in like any other tile and goes off as soon as it lands.

Bomb

Earned by a 3-step chain

Clears the 8 tiles around where it lands.

Ring clear

Earned by a 4-step chain

Clears the whole ring it lands in.

Sector drill

Earned by clearing 8 tiles in one drop

Clears its whole stack, centre to edge.

Colour bomb

Earned by a 5-step chain

Clears every tile of the colour it lands on.

Tricky tiles

These join in one by one as the game goes on, and each is introduced when it first appears.

Stone

Never matches. Breaks when tiles clear right beside it.

Colour cycler

Changes colour as it falls, and keeps the colour it lands with.

Armoured

Has to be cleared twice. The first clear cracks it.

Virus

Turns a random tile a different colour every few seconds until you clear it.

Splitter

Splits in two when it lands, one tile on each neighbouring stack.

Grower

Adds a stone to its stack every few seconds until you clear it.

Power-ups

Get out of a tight spot

Power-ups sit in a bar under the board, ready to tap whenever you need one. You start with two of each, and earn more as you play.

Clear outer ring

Removes the top tile of every stack.

Undo drop

Takes back the last tile that landed.

Core blast

Clears the innermost ring. Everything drops inward, and may chain.

Colour purge

Pick a colour and every tile of it disappears.

Revive

When the game ends, clears the outer rings so you can carry on. Once per game.

Fair play

Free to play, and fair

Earn power-ups as you play

Earn one for every 2,000 points in a game, collect a free one each day, and get one for each of the eight achievements.

Ads only when you ask

There are no pop-up or banner ads. If you run out of a power-up, or want to revive, you can choose to watch one.

Submit your best score to the leaderboard on Google Play Games, or Game Center on iOS.
